Sharon Cannon

General Manager

Originally from Australia’s renowned Hunter Valley wine region, Sharon brings a global perspective and deep-rooted passion for wine and hospitality to Altisima Winery. With certifications from WSET II, the French Wine Scholar Guild, the OIV Wine Marketing Program at UC Davis, and a Certificate in Restaurant Management from Cal State Fullerton, she blends technical expertise with operational excellence. As General Manager, Sharon is proud to lead what she believes is the best team in the valley—dedicated to delivering an exceptional guest experience every day.

Chris Johnson

Winemaker
A proud Temecula resident since 1998, Chris’s passion for winemaking began after retiring as a paramedic in 2013. He gained hands-on experience at a local winery, studied enology at Washington State University, and honed his craft under renowned winemakers at Temecula Valley Winery Management. After leading production at a custom crush facility handling 1,100 tons of fruit annually, Chris joined Altisima Winery in 2020 as Head Winemaker, dedicated to quality and celebrating Temecula’s unique terroir.

Brittany Reed

Marketing Manager

Brittany is a Southern California–based marketing professional with over 15 years of experience in copywriting, graphic design, web development, and social media strategy. As Altísima Winery’s Marketing Manager, Brittany brings a dynamic blend of creativity and strategy to every project, helping to elevate the brand’s presence both locally and online. She loves crafting experiences that connect with audiences and tell compelling stories—especially when they involve good wine.

Josh Sarver

Tasting Room Manager
With over a decade in the food and beverage industry, Josh brings a wealth of service, leadership, and strategy to his role as Tasting Room Manager. Starting his career at just 15, he’s gained extensive experience in both restaurant and winery operations, backed by degrees in Business Management and Marketing. Known for his excellence in customer service, team leadership, and event execution, Josh is passionate about connecting guests with exceptional wine, storytelling, and hospitality—making every visit a memorable one.

Kelsey Mohr

Operations Supervisor
With 13 years of hospitality experience, Kelsey Mohr brings a unique blend of operational expertise, guest service excellence, and business acumen to Altisima Winery. Holding a degree in Accounting and Human Resources, she combines financial insight with people-focused leadership to ensure both front-of-house experiences and behind-the-scenes operations run seamlessly. Focused on efficiency, consistency, and exceptional service, Kelsey supports her team in delivering the quality and elegance that define Altisima Winery.

Jonathan Alcala

Head Chef

Chef Jonathan Alcala is a California cuisine–focused culinary professional whose passion for food was shaped by childhood gatherings centered around carne asada and mariscadas, along with fishing and hunting trips that introduced him to the flavors of Baja cuisine. He trained at the Culinary Institute of America in Napa Valley, where he built a strong foundation rooted in seasonal, locally sourced ingredients.

As an Executive Chef, he is committed to responsible sourcing, sustainability, and building relationships with local farmers and artisans. His work reflects a dedication to quality, innovation, and the continued evolution of contemporary California cuisine.

Jacklynn Schaffer

Restaurant Manager

Jackie has spent her entire adult life in the restaurant and hospitality industry. She spent more than a decade as a bartender at Chili’s Grill & Bar before continuing her career with Snooze A.M. Eatery from 2017 to 2025. During that time, she grew from barista and bartender to corporate trainer and eventually into leadership, finishing her tenure as an Assistant General Manager and Sous Chef capable of stepping into any role to support the team.

People are at the heart of Jackie’s approach to hospitality. Whether welcoming guests or supporting staff, her goal is always to help create a warm, memorable experience for everyone who walks through the doors.
